Is my personal number really kept private?
Yes. To create an account we ask for neither your phone number nor a bank card: only your name, your email and a password. The services you sign up to (WhatsApp, Telegram, ChatGPT…) only see the virtual number assigned to you. Only the Mobile Money payment uses your payment number, and it is handled by our payment provider.
What information do you keep about me?
What is needed to run and secure your account: name, email, identifier, encrypted password, your order history and IP address (purchases, security, visit statistics). When our advertising measurement is active, browsing events (page view, sign-up, purchase) are sent to Meta, with your email in hashed form if you are logged in. We do not sell your data. Everything is detailed in our privacy policy.
Can I receive the verification code for ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes, OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Claude are in the catalogue: pick the service and an available country, and the SMS appears in your account. Whether a virtual number is accepted depends on the service: if no code arrives before expiry, the order fails and you are credited back automatically.
What happens if I don’t receive my SMS?
You lose nothing: if no code arrives before expiry, the order fails and its amount is no longer deducted from your balance. The credit-back is automatic, on your myphonify balance. Once the code is received, the order is final and can no longer be refunded.
How long does the number stay active?
Between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the service and country, enough time to receive your code. After that, the session expires.
Can I reuse a number?
No: each number is disposable and tied to a single session. That is what protects your privacy, but it has a limit: do not use a virtual number for an account you will need to recover later (bank, main messaging app), as you will no longer be able to receive a code on it.
How can I pay?
By Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Wave, Moov… depending on your country) or by bank card, on a secure payment page. You top up your balance, then each number is deducted from that balance.
Does my balance expire?
No. Your balance remains available and can be used for future purchases.
